The Verde River Greenway State Natural Area is located only six miles away. The Dead Horse Ranch State Park has a unique ecosystem with an outstanding riparian zone. Depending on seasons, activities along the river keep changing. This gives you a glimpse of the wide range of raptors, resident songbirds, neotropical migrants, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and mammals.
